Welcome To the Quartz Mountain Inn
Web Site "Marquette Counties Favorite Hotel with Acreage"
The background location for the Quartz Mountain Inn insures an unbelievable wilderness experience. While in the forefront only a driveway away is the U.S. 41 Highway. Just nine miles west of Marquette the motel is surrounded by acres of U.P. woods and trails.
Open year round, Quartz Mountain Inn offers a free hot buffet style breakfast, exceptionally clean rooms and an at home atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
In the winter there is a spur from the parking lot to Trail #8. There is ample parking for trailers.
A new addition to our services is a Geocaching Training Class provided to our guest on the use of a G.P.S. There are several goecaches hidden on the mountain to explore.
We are looking forward to providing you with a unique and restful stay. Please come and join us at Quartz Mountain Inn and experience the personalized service we are renowned for.

The first 2 miles of the Iron Ore Heritage trail will be starting its first phase of development thanks to the Michigan Department of Transportation which awarded a grant to Marquette County. The first portion of the trail will run from the Negaunee Senior Center to the Brownstone area of Ishpeming. This trail system is for non-motorized access only and is expected to be completed in August. Hiking and biking will be permitted on the trail system. When the trail is complete it will extend from Chocolay Township through Marquette and all the way to Republic. For more details on this story visit the Mining Journal.
